ARC Raiders Roadmap: All Planned Features for 2026
Following a massive launch that completely hooked the community, Embark Studios isn't taking its foot off the gas. The developers just dropped the official 2026 roadmap for ARC Raiders, and it looks like we are in for a wild ride. Dubbed the "Escalation" phase, the upcoming year is stacked with monthly thematic drops, massive map expansions, dynamic environmental weather that completely shifts how you play, and a much-needed overhaul for the endgame loop. But that's not all. Looking at how well the game has been retaining players, Embark is actually planning a major structural shift for the latter half of 2026. They will be transitioning from rapid monthly updates into a biannual rhythm. This means fewer but significantly larger, more transformative updates designed to deliver deep gameplay reworks and massive progression overhauls. Let's dive straight into the complete breakdown of everything heading our way this year. The Early Months: Monthly "Escalation" DropsThe first part of the year focuses heavily on rapid updates, keeping the gameplay fresh while expanding how squads handle the ARC threat and the environment itself.[*]January – "Headwinds" Update: The year kicks off with a massive win for veterans and casuals alike. January introduces high-level matchmaking, creating a dedicated pool specifically for Level 40+ players. This is huge because it finally protects newer players from getting stomped while drastically improving match quality for the endgame community. Along with this, we are getting a minor map condition that introduces subtle layout variances marked by a distinct bird and wildlife logo on the map. To top it off, a new community-driven Player Project event will begin, allowing everyone to pull together to unlock shared rewards.
[*]February – "Shrouded Sky" Update: February is when the environment starts fighting back in earnest. We are getting a major map condition featuring extreme, wind-based weather effects that distort your visibility and physically alter map environments. Navigating the Rust Belt is about to get terrifying, especially since Embark is dropping a brand-new flying robotic ARC enemy designed to counter high-level builds and completely shift PvE difficulty. To keep track of our progress, the update introduces Raider Decks, a new seasonal tier list for premium cosmetics. We will also see map adjustments that rotate standard loot and hazards across existing zones, alongside an Expedition Window calendar block that introduces highly challenging, limited-time activities.
[*]March – "Flashpoint" Update: If you thought February's wind was bad, March brings the Lightning map condition. This volatile environmental hazard introduces severe, random lightning strikes that can catch your squad off guard mid-firefight. Accompanying the storm is a secondary winged ARC enemy model, coming in to put even more aerial pressure on traditional squad compositions. March also brings the "Scrappy Update," which adjusts our favorite resource vendor rooster by scaling up inventory or reworking the underlying currency systems. Finally, the third collaborative Player Project milestone goes live, giving us another collective goal to grind toward.
[*]April – "Riven Tides" Update: April is easily the biggest drop of the spring. We are finally leaving our usual stomping grounds for a brand-new map: a massive coastal beach and island-themed front that significantly expands the overall Rust Belt layout. This gorgeous, dangerous coastline is paired with a Stormy map condition that brings heavy ocean storms directly into the zone. You will need every bit of shelter you can find, because this map also plays host to a massive, terrifying new ARC Boss Threat—highly speculated by the community to be a destructive Baron or King unit.
Late 2026 Core Pillars – "Frozen Trail" ExpansionAfter April, Embark Studios is deliberately slowing things down to focus on depth. Starting in October 2026, the game officially shifts to a biannual schedule, kicking off with a massive expansion called "Frozen Trail" that completely redefines the late-game experience. Instead of smaller monthly drops, this expansion acts as a massive overhaul built on several core pillars:
[*]The Largest Map Yet: Prepare for a sprawling, highly layered landscape that sets a brand-new size ceiling for ARC Raiders. Exploring this vertical, frozen environment will be a massive undertaking.
[*]Skill Tree Rework: For the veterans who have already maxed out their Raider Den and hit the current skill caps, this is exactly what we've been waiting for. A comprehensive overhaul is coming to rebuild end-game progression from the ground up.
[*]Lore Integration: The mystery behind the machines is finally taking center stage. New in-game progression systems will allow us to actively track and uncover the true origin of the ARC threat while we play.
[*]3-Week Live-Ops Loop: To make sure the core experience stays rock solid while the main dev team works on these massive expansions, general live service, security, anti-cheat adjustments, and rotating store items will scale down to a tight, highly optimized three-week cycle managed by a dedicated live-ops team.
From the looks of it, 2026 is going to be a defining year for ARC Raiders. Whether you are looking forward to dodging lightning strikes in March, taking down a mechanical leviathan on the coast in April, or completely rebuilding your character build in October, Embark Studios is proving they are fully committed to the long haul. Pack your gear, Raiders—the escalation is about to begin.
